Motion Designer

Our client, a leading global media technology and creative platform, is seeking a Motion Designer to support a broad range of creative initiatives where motion plays an important role. This is a highly hands-on position that will touch all types of creative assets requiring motion, from brand and marketing campaigns to presentations, digital experiences, video, and other visual communications. The ideal candidate brings strong motion design fundamentals, excellent visual taste, and the ability to take work from concept through final execution.

This is a contract assignment. Pay rate range: $50–$60/hour.

Responsibilities:

• Develop motion design and animation across a wide range of brand, marketing, digital, video, and creative assets.
• Bring static creative concepts and visual systems to life through thoughtful animation and motion.
• Create animation, typography, transitions, visual effects, and other motion elements that enhance storytelling and brand expression.
• Collaborate with designers, art directors, creative directors, producers, and other partners throughout the creative process.
• Take projects from initial concept and exploration through production and final delivery.
• Adapt creative across different formats, platforms, and specifications while maintaining visual consistency.
• Work across both quick-turn requests and larger, more complex creative initiatives.
• Incorporate feedback, communicate proactively, and manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
• Help establish and maintain motion principles and best practices across the broader creative organization.
• Stay current with emerging motion design techniques, creative technologies, and evolving industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, or a related creative discipline.
• Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating sophisticated motion design, animation, visual storytelling, and creative execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, typography, composition, pacing, transitions, and visual effects.
• Experience bringing a wide variety of creative assets to life through motion, rather than focusing exclusively on one medium or channel.
• Ability to work from established brand systems while also contributing original creative thinking.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver polished, production-ready work.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable working EST business hours and adapting to variable project demands.
