Pro Services is hiring a Direct Hire Industrial Bakery Equipment Mechanic in Plymouth, MI. On third shift, you’ll be the problem-solver who keeps conveyors, baggers, tyers, ovens, coolers, sifters, mixers, and proof boxes online so product moves—and deadlines are met.

Your Mission

Protect uptime. Spot issues early. Fix what fails—fast and safely. Partner with production, sanitation, engineering, and maintenance teammates to deliver consistent performance shift after shift.

What Success Looks Like

• Planned maintenance completed on schedule for ovens, belts, and auxiliary systems.
• Root causes identified across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC/HMI systems.
• Critical parts replaced proactively: motors (three-phase), bearings, shafts, seals, gearboxes, belts, and hardware.
• Clear communication keeps the floor aligned and production targets intact.

Do You Have This Background?

• 3+ years as a Maintenance Mechanic in heavy industrial, manufacturing, or bakery operations.
• Expertise with conveyor systems—from alignment and chain replacement to troubleshooting.
• Mechanical strength with three-phase motor work and drive components.
• Basic PLC/HMI troubleshooting; prior food/bakery experience is a plus.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment as a dependable team player.

Tools & Technical Skillset

• Bring your own: wrenches, Allen keys, jaw pliers, chain lock.
• Electrical: 110–240V single-phase and 480V three-phase; motors/relays proficiency.
• Mechanical: rebuild capability and conveyor system maintenance.
• Pneumatics: fundamental troubleshooting.
• Welding: MIG required; TIG preferred.

Schedule, Pay, and Expectations

• Third shift nights: 5:00 PM–5:00 AM
• Rotating 3-2-3 schedule; ~48 hours/week average
• Work pattern: Every Friday and every other weekend
• Compensation: $34.41/hour + $1.55/hour night differential

Physical Realities & PPE

• Occasional lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs (less than 1/3 of shift).
• Frequent walking (~50%), standing (~30%); regular kneeling/crouching.
• Occasional ladder/scaffold work; wet, slippery, and narrow surfaces present.
• Normal vision, hearing, and speaking required.
• PPE: hairnet, safety glasses, ear protection, beard net as needed.
