About the Position

Our client is seeking CDL A Drivers for local port and yard operations. This on-site position focuses on safely transporting and repositioning containers, chassis, and trailers between marine terminals and customer facilities. Drivers are home daily and supported by the TransForce team throughout their assignment.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay rate: $33 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Shift: Night shift, 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
• Hours per week: 40
• Home daily
• Employment type: Dedicated
• Start date: July 1, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Transport and reposition containers, chassis, and trailers between marine terminals and customer facilities.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Document equipment conditions accurately.
• Use technology for real-time tracking and communication regarding assignments and updates.
• Assist warehouse personnel with strategic trailer placement when needed.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Current DOT Medical Certificate
• TWIC Card required, or ability to obtain immediately
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be at least 23 years old
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
